Remaining Thankful

Even though we are not excited to be climbing this mountain, we realize we already have so much to be thankful for.  We don't ever want to forget these things!

* A great God who is not surprised by this.
*Supporting loving family, especially family with medical connections.
*Three great children - old enough to get themselves to school & back!
*A fourth & fifth "children" (Michelle Wolfe & Adam Thies, the TFC fellows who have lived with us over the course of this journey).  Michelle walked the chemo road with her own family as a teen.
*A successful bone marrow transplant in 2012 that left Andrew cancer-free.
*Friends who bring dinner, snacks, & fine wine.
*Friends who treat us to dinner out, gaining us "rock star" status as someone for whom the bill is already covered.
*Friends who come to our house last minute for prayer and an anointing of Andrew (a symbolic act to ask for healing and protection that has been used by the church for millennia.)
*Neighbors who drive Evan to & from basketball practice.
*Texts and emails that encourage us.
*AJ's good health and ability to go to Evan's basketball practice, go on a bike ride, etc.
